Precision Antimicrobial Lab Members Present at ASM Microbe 2025 in LA

Two members of our lab, Nidhi Singh and Osayamen Obanor, had the exciting opportunity to present their research at ASM Microbe 2025 in Los Angeles. They shared their work through poster presentations and rapid fire talks at the Antimicrobial Agents and Resistance (AAR) track hub.

The team showcased two important studies: “Meropenem/Vaborbactam Combinations with Aminoglycosides Overcome KPC-Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae” and “Defining the Interplay Between Antibiotic Activity and the Presence of Hypervirulence Plasmids in Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae.” These projects highlight our lab’s focus on finding better treatments for tough-to-treat and highly virulent bacterial infections.

Attending a global conference like this gave our team valuable exposure to new tools and approaches that are pushing microbiology forward. It is always reinvigorating to see the latest science, get fresh ideas, and enjoy great conversations with fellow researchers as we work toward the development of next-generation antibiotic treatment strategies.
